Keeping Dora’s Mission Alive
The Omang family and United for Kids Foundation (UKF) are pleased to announce the Theodora Baarong Omang Fund in honor of Theodora Omang who passed away on June 22nd 2013, a few days before her 35th birthday on July 10th.
Dora or Baarong as she was fondly called, was a keen and brilliant student. She attended Federal Government Girls College Benin, the University of Leicester UK and Brunel University London. She worked as a Development Manager for Community Investors Development Agency in London where she lived until her passing. She maintained a strong connection to Nigeria, where her parents and family still reside. Dora was a true romantic, a lover of technology and a keen reader.
About the Fund
Theodora’s family and friends have established this fund to honor her memory by supporting the efforts of United for Kids Foundation to educate children, which will serve as a gateway to achieving their dreams. The proceeds from the fund will be used to pay for specific projects within United for Kids Foundation’s mission. The target for 2015 is $1250, which will be used to purchase school supplies to send 100 children from low income families in Nigeria back to school in September 2015.
